Position

Description:

• Performallinstallation,repairandmaintenanceworkofrefrigerationandair-conditioning equipment,includingcoldroomsandtropicroomstosimulateextremeconditionsofcoldandheatandotheratmosphericconditionsfortestpurposes.
• Installandmaintainsteamandhotwaterheatingsystems,highpressuresteamline,sprinklersystemsandpipingsystemsforair,oil,gas,paint,acids,solvents,etc.,includingpumpandcollectors.
• Cut threads,bend,file,burr,reamandinstallpipes,couplings,unions,elbows,flanges,valves,etc.
• Workwithcastiron,brass,stainless steel,andothertypesofmetalpiping,valves,trapsandvessels.
  
  Usealltypesofpipefitters,toolsincludingtaps,portablepowerpipethreaders,gas torches,hacksaws,drills,benders,etc.
• Layout,installandrepairallplantplumbingsystems,including toilets,showersanddrinkingfountains,accordingtounderwritersandmunicipalstandards.
  
  Locate,diagnoseandcorrectplumbingtroubles.
• Mayberequiredtohandle/managehazardouswastefromtimetotime.

Requirements:

• Musthavehighschooldiplomaorequivalent(GED).
• Mustbeatleast
  18yearsofageorolder.
• Musthavecompletedanapprenticeshipprogramorhave8yearsofdocumentedexperienceinthetrade.
• MusthaveHVACmaintenance/repair experience;
  
  HVACcertificationpreferred.
• MustbeU.S.citizen.
• Mustbeabletoobtain/maintainsecurityclearance.
• Usealltradetoolsandequipmentincludingpipecutters,threaders,benders,soldering irons,hacksaws,blowtorches,'snakes',caulking tools,etc.,andworkwithvarioustypesofmetallic,vitreousandplasticmaterials.
• Musthaveabilitytoreadandworkfromblueprints.
• Mustbeabletosuccessfullycompletethepre-employmentprocessincludingdrugscreenandbackgroundcheck.
• Must obtain Department of Army Policeunescortedaccess .
• Musthavecurrentstatedriver'slicenseinorderobtainin-plantlicensestooperatemotorizedvehicleincludingmanlifts,forklifts,etc.
• Operate crane(upto
  50tons)

Environmental Conditions:

• Abilitytoworkinproductionenvironment,including:
• Climbing stairs,laddersandequipment.
• Workfromladdersscaffoldsorswingstageswhennecessary.
• Liftandcarry-minimumof

• Workingininclementweatherincludingextremeheatandcold.
