Body Shop Technician

Summary:

This position is responsible for performing body work and general repairs on class 6, 7, and 8 trucks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Communicate effectively with customers to determine needs and advise of work to be done

• Perform necessary repairs and adjustments using tools and other necessary equipment

• Complete repair orders, fuel tickets, timecards, expense reports, and other documentation as required

• Purchase all parts and supplies through Truck Country/Stoops when at all possible

• Drive vehicles within company property and on public roads as required

• All other duties as assigned

Education, Skills and Knowledge

Required:

• High school diploma, GED or related work experience

• Basic tool set

• Power and hand tool experience required

• Experience in repair and maintenance of semi-trailers preferred, but not required

• Candidates with skilled trade experience from related fields are also encouraged to apply

• Effective verbal and written communication skills
