Position: Bilingual Assistant Manager Trainee (Spanish) - Store 722103

Job Description

The Sherwin-Williams Assistant Manager Trainee Program is an accelerated, entry-level position designed to prepare current employees for a Store Management role in 18-24 months. With Sherwin-Williams’ promote‑from‑within philosophy, you will have the opportunity to progress into an Assistant Store Manager position upon successful completion of the initial 6‑8‑week training.

This position’s typical schedule is 44 hours per week and may include evenings and/or weekends. During the program you will collaborate with store management to oversee a million‑dollar business, provide leadership, and gain insight into store operations and strategy. You will learn all operational aspects, serve large commercial users, and grow the company’s market share.

Responsibilities
  • Complete training consistent with the established program.
  • Support business strategies to increase sales and optimize profitability.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
  • Build and maintain knowledge of all products to provide effective customer recommendations.
  • Build positive relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
  • Complete store administration.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures including safety, loss prevention, and security.
  • Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards, including promotional packages and sales floor displays.
  • Support employee training, development, performance management, and corrective action.
  • Respond to and resolve any customer and/or employee complaints.
  • Partner with Store Manager to make outside sales calls to increase market share.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Legally authorized to work in the country of employment without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, comprehending, and communicating in English.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, comprehending, and communicating in Spanish.
  • Valid, unrestricted Driver’s License.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Physical ability to retrieve material from shelves, lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs on occasion (with or without reasonable accommodation).
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least one year of experience working in a retail, sales, or customer service position.
  • At least one year of experience in a leadership role, supervising or leading teams.
  • Previous work experience selling paint or paint‑related products.
  • Experience using time‑keeping and/or customer relationship management ("CRM") systems.
  • Associate’s degree or higher in business, sales, or marketing.
  • Team‑oriented work experience (e.g., extracurricular activities, military service, etc.).
  • Willingness to relocate for future job opportunities.
