Position Overview

This opening has a $3,000 sign‑on bonus! If you’re looking for a rewarding career that will make a lasting impact on the lives of children, adolescents, and their families, a Home‑Based Therapist may be your next step. The Home‑Based Program uses a variety of person‑centered therapeutic approaches that promote growth and healing for some of the most vulnerable youth in the community.

Responsibilities
  • Provide therapeutic services in the youth’s community; travel to the youth’s home, school, and surrounding community throughout the day.
  • Use a trauma‑informed approach with capacity to conduct further work in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF‑CBT).
  • Practice with youth who have intense needs, and maintain high‑level interpersonal work with families.
  • Participate in extensive clinical support and training opportunities provided by the skilled team.
  • Utilize creative interventions and evidence‑based practices, and pursue training in such methods.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule to meet client needs, including "flex" time off and shorter work weeks.
Qualifications
  • Masters degree in social work, counseling, or psychology.
  • Interest in treating serious mental health issues in youth.
  • License eligibility in Michigan (LLMSW, LMSW, LLPC, LPC, TLLP, LLP). New graduates are welcome; licensure supervision is offered.
  • Availability to travel at all times required to meet youth throughout the day.
