Construction Scheduler
The Construction Scheduler plans, coordinates, and maintains short-term and weekly construction schedules to keep multiple projects running smoothly and efficiently. This role supports field operations by aligning labor, materials, and jobsite activities, with a particular focus on concrete and masonry work. The Construction Scheduler visits job sites regularly, communicates schedule updates to key stakeholders, and adjusts plans proactively in response to changing conditions in the field.
Responsibilities- Develop, maintain, and update short-term and weekly construction schedules for multiple active projects.
- Coordinate labor sequencing across concrete and masonry crews to ensure efficient use of resources and minimal downtime.
- Visit job sites regularly, observe progress, and submit accurate and timely daily logs.
- Adjust schedules as needed to account for weather, site conditions, inspections, and production changes.
- Identify scheduling conflicts early and communicate necessary adjustments in a timely and professional manner.
- Serve as a primary liaison between project managers, foremen, suppliers, and dispatch to ensure alignment on schedules and priorities.
- Communicate daily schedule updates and changes clearly and consistently to field and office teams.
- Support field operations by ensuring that schedules accurately reflect jobsite needs and constraints.
- Maintain accurate records of schedules, deliveries, changes, and project milestones.
- Assist project managers with look-ahead planning and production forecasting to anticipate resource needs and potential constraints.
- Support multiple active projects simultaneously while maintaining strong organization, attention to detail, and schedule accuracy.
- At least 2 years of experience in construction scheduling, project coordination, or operations.
- Experience in concrete, masonry, or related construction trades preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, jobsite workflows, and field operations.
- Proficiency with scheduling tools and software, including Excel and construction management software or similar platforms.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability and willingness to work in the field and spend time on active construction sites.
- Ability and willingness to drive between job sites as needed.
- Bilingual communication skills.

The Construction Scheduler works closely with both office and field teams in a dynamic construction environment. The role involves regular visits to active job sites, particularly those involving concrete and masonry work, and requires driving between locations. You will use scheduling tools, spreadsheets such as Excel, and construction management software to build and maintain project schedules. The position supports multiple projects at once, requiring consistent communication with project managers, foremen, suppliers, and dispatch to keep operations aligned and on track.
JobType & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lincoln Park, NJ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
