Summary
We are representing a reputable and growing civil engineering firm seeking a Civil Engineer with a strong background in municipal design. The ideal candidate will have experience in site development, grading, stormwater systems, sanitary sewer, storm drain, and landfill-related design. This role will support a variety of public infrastructure projects and provide opportunities for technical leadership and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review engineering designs, plans, and specifications for civil site development, landfills, storm drain, sewer, and grading projects
- Conduct hydrology, hydraulic, and stormwater management calculations
- Coordinate with public agencies, utility companies, and internal team members
- Support permitting efforts and prepare technical documentation for regulatory compliance
- Develop construction documents and assist in construction administration tasks
- Review and incorporate applicable municipal and environmental codes and standards
- Participate in project planning, budgeting, and scheduling
- Support senior engineers and project managers in client communication and project delivery
- Perform site visits and support field inspections when needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required
- 2+ years of experience in civil engineering design, ideally focused on municipal projects
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in California preferred or ability to obtain
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related design software
- Familiarity with local public works standards, Caltrans, and regional utility design requirements
- Strong communication, technical writing, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently or as part of a team
