Registered Nurse (RN), Outpatient Adult Infusion – O/P Treatment Area (RHJ Morris Cancer Center, New Brunswick campus). This is an Infusion RN position. Status:

Pay Transparency: The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered will depend on factors including education, skills and experience.

• The Registered Nurse provides nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards and upholds ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
• Ensure safety in practice and apply evidence-based practice principles; communicate with and utilize resource persons and programs available to advance knowledge of self and the patient care team.
• Report identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors.
• Maintain knowledge of the patient population served.
• Supervise and direct the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborate with other patient care providers.
• Set and evaluate priorities through interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
• Function as an individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team manager; use the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and individualize the plan of care for each patient.

Required:

• BSN
• At least 1 year of Oncology RN experience
• ONS Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy Certification required or must obtain prior to start date
• At least 1 year working as RN in an oncology setting administering chemotherapy
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with chemotherapy regimens, safe handling and infusion nursing practice

Preferred:

• 2-3 years of Oncology RN experience preferred
• OCN required or obtained within 1 year of hire
• Outpatient oncology infusion RN experience strongly preferred

Certifications and Licenses

Required:

• BLS and ACLS
• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License

• Day Shift, 20 hours per week
• Monday - Friday with occasional Saturday 1 per month
• 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM and one late shift 9:00 AM - 7:30 PM per week
