RN

• The Registered Nurse provides nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards, and adheres to ANA code of ethics.
• Ensure safety in practice and advance knowledge of self and others through communication and use of available resources.
• Report identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors.
• Act in knowledge of the patient population served and collaborate with the care team.
• Supervise and direct delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and coordinate with other care providers.
• Set and evaluate priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
• Utilize the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and individualize the plan of care for each patient.

• Required:
  • BSN
  • At least 1 year of Oncology RN experience
  • ONS Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy Certification required or must obtain prior to start date
  • At least 1 year RN experience in oncology administering chemotherapy
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with chemotherapy regimens, safe handling and infusion nursing practice
• Preferred:
  • 2-3 years of Oncology RN experience
  • OCN required or obtained within 1 year of hire
  • Outpatient oncology infusion RN experience strongly preferred

• BLS and ACLS certification
• Active New Jersey RN License

• Day Shift, 40 hours per week
• Monday - Friday with occasional Saturday (1 per month)
• 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM and one late shift 9:00 AM – 7:30 PM per week
• Full Time

• Provide nursing care within scope of practice and uphold ethical standards.

• Understand the patient population served and collaborate with the care team.
• Supervise delegation and coordinate with other care providers.
• Set priorities and implement interventions with measurable outcomes.
• Act as an individual practitioner and team manager, using the nursing process to individualize care.
