RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Registered Nurse for our Oncology Unit (MCC-9) at the Morris Cancer Center at the New Brunswick campus. This is a 32-bed Oncology Unit with private rooms. You will see a variety of medical oncology, surgical oncology, other blood disorders, and intermediate care patient populations.

• The Registered Nurse provides nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards, upholding ethical standards as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
• Maintain safety in practice and advance knowledge through evidence-based practice, communicating with and utilizing resources and programs available.
• Report identified safety issues (e.g., hazardous environments, medical errors).
• Maintain knowledge of the patient population served.
• Supervise and direct delegation of tasks to appropriate team members; collaborate with other patient care providers.
• Set and evaluate priorities with appropriate interventions and measurable outcomes toward improvement.
• Function as an individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team manager, using the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and individualize the plan of care.

Required:

• BSN
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficient computer skills

Preferred:

• At least 1-3 years of Oncology RN experience
• Oncology or BMTU Certification preferred

• BLS and ACLS certification
• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License

• Night shift, 24 hours per week, 7p-7:30a
• Monday - Friday, some weekend and holiday rotation
• Part-time
