As an RN supporting the Infant/Toddler Inpatient Rehabilitation Department
, you'll care for young patients with complex medical, developmental, and rehabilitative needs while partnering closely with their families throughout the rehabilitation journey. Working alongside an experienced interdisciplinary team, you'll combine clinical expertise with family‑centered care to support recovery, development, and growing independence. • Performing comprehensive, age‑appropriate nursing assessments and utilizing the nursing process to identify the individualized medical, developmental, and rehabilitation needs of infants and toddlers
• Developing, implementing, and evaluating pediatric rehabilitation plans of care that support each child's clinical needs, developmental progress, and individualized goals
• Delivering compassionate, evidence‑based nursing care while monitoring for changes in condition and responding with timely, appropriate clinical interventions
• Collaborating with physicians, physical and occupational therapists, speech‑language pathologists, nursing professionals, and other interdisciplinary team members to promote coordinated rehabilitation care
• Supporting infants and toddlers as they work toward developmental and functional milestones while incorporating rehabilitation principles into daily nursing care
• Partnering closely with parents and caregivers, recognizing their essential role in their child's rehabilitation, development, and ongoing care
• Providing individualized education to families and caregivers regarding treatments, rehabilitation goals, developmental needs, and strategies that support continued progress
• Delegating appropriate responsibilities to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and nursing assistants based on patient needs, staff competencies, and established standards of practice
• Serving as a clinical resource and role model for LPNs, nurse externs, nursing assistants, nursing students, and newly hired team members
• Assuming relief Charge Nurse responsibilities as needed while communicating patient needs and clinical concerns to nursing leadership and demonstrating effective problem‑solving skills
