Concrete Repair Technician
We are seeking a skilled Concrete Repair Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will perform heavy, labor-intensive concrete restoration work on commercial and infrastructure projects. This role involves chipping, grinding, patching, and structural repair in high-dust, high-intensity environments. Technicians must adhere to strict safety procedures, utilize fall-protection equipment, and wear respirators. The position requires travel to job sites across New York and New Jersey.
Responsibilities
- Perform concrete repair tasks including chipping, grinding, patching, and structural repairs.
- Utilize hand and power tools effectively for concrete restoration.
- Follow construction safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work with fall-protection systems at heights.
- Travel between job sites in NY and NJ.
- Maintain a strong work ethic and work collaboratively with a primarily Spanish-speaking crew.
Essential Skills
- Experience in heavy concrete labor such as chipping, demolition, patching, and structural repair.
- Physical stamina to lift, bend, kneel, and work long hours in demanding environments.
- Ability to read and speak English; bilingual in English/Spanish is a strong plus.
- Experience using chipping guns, grinders, and other concrete repair tools.
- Comfortable wearing a half-face respirator (3M 3000 series) and meeting fit-test requirements (must be clean-shaven where the mask seals).
- Familiarity with construction safety protocols and PPE.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience in concrete restoration, waterproofing, or structural repair is preferred.
- Ability to work on temporary flooring, scaffolding, and elevated platforms.
- Must pass extensive safety training before starting.
- Reliable transportation to reach various job sites (tolls not reimbursed initially).
- OSHA certifications are a plus but not required.

Work Environment
Work primarily takes place at outdoor and indoor construction sites in high-dust, noisy environments. Employees will use heavy tools, work at heights, on temporary platforms, and in confined or awkward spaces. The work is fast-paced and physically demanding. The field crew is majority Spanish-speaking, and travel between NY and NJ is required depending on project needs.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lincoln Park, NJ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
