Salary
Salary: Appropriate placement on the Alabama Community College System Board of Trustees.
Local Salary "L" Schedule – Part‑Time, maximum of 19 hours per week.
Hourly Wage $20.00 per hour.
Maximum of 19 hours per week.

Responsibilities- Willingness to find common time availability to accommodate the needs of the student
- Provide support, encouragement, and information to students in their department
- Assist instructors/division chair with lab work and research
- Facilitate and teach summer bridge non‑credit courses as needed under the Instructor's supervision
- Able to commit to the role of a tutor for the entire academic semester
- Able typist where typed notes and other typed documents are required
- Participate in classroom activities and assist the instructor as necessary
- Assist other college personnel in developing, organizing, and sustaining tutoring initiatives
- Track student tutoring for project evaluations and annual reports
- Submit reports to supervisor as requested
- Retain and submit documentation as requested to support accreditation efforts
- Perform other work‑related responsibilities as assigned by supervisor, Dean of Student Services, and/or the President
- Minimum of Associate's degree or completion of a two‑year program (minimum of 48 credit hours or more) from a regionally accredited institution
- Experience in teaching/tutoring in STEM related (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) fields
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good interpersonal communication skills and ease in relating to people from a variety of educational, cultural, and social backgrounds
- Must meet all employability requirements of the College
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution
In accordance with Alabama Community College System Policy and guidelines, the applicant chosen for employment will be required to sign a consent form and agree to a non‑refundable fee of $17.40 for a criminal background check.
