Safety Specialist

Role Overview:

The Safety Specialist applies scientific and practical safety knowledge to design, innovate, and improve systems, processes, equipment, and tools to enhance safety performance. They lead safety projects, support continuous safety improvements through PDCA cycles, and collaborate with department leaders and safety committees to foster a strong safety culture.

• Lead safety initiatives and support complex improvement projects.
• Conduct risk assessments, ergonomic studies, and safety compliance activities.
• Interpret and apply safety policies, participate in policy development.
• Analyze safety data, prepare reports, and communicate safety results.
• Develop technical expertise and professional skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field; 0-4 years’ safety experience.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and injury prevention strategies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and planning skills.
