Position Summary

The Count Team Supervisor will oversee Count Room processes and ensure adherence to minimum internal control standards for drop and count. Responsibilities include protecting company assets and accounting for all funds associated with gaming and non-gaming revenues. Supervise Count Team Members and maintain control of sensitive casino keys. Responsibilities must be performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.

Functions
  • Practice, support, and promote Thunder Valley Casino Resort’s “ELITE” company-wide service mission and demonstrate AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times.
  • Inspect drop and count equipment daily, and report any mechanical issues to the Count Team Manager. Make service calls to equipment vendors as necessary.
  • Supervise and coach Count Team Members on proper count procedures on a daily basis. Resolve problems as they arise during the count process. Ensure company policies are being enforced and safety guidelines are being followed.
  • Participate and perform count functions for gaming and non-gaming revenues as necessary. Operate count equipment in a safe, efficient, and cautious manner to minimize mechanical equipment malfunction and potential injury.
  • Enter all gaming and non-gaming revenue into count machines and computer programs. Manually count and verify all revenue totals. Balance figures to the required documentation.
  • Maintain a high degree of professionalism in all encounters with Guests, fellow Team Members and Management.
  • Evaluate the count process periodically and make adjustments to mitigate potential work flow stoppage and meet processing time requirements.
  • Update payroll records as needed.
  • Oversee revenue transfers between count room and main cage bank.
  • Responsible for all paperwork transfers to the Finance department. Responsible for the timely return of all count room-sensitive keys.
  • Be a role model for the drop and count Team Members. Provide corrective counseling to Team Members who violate rules and regulations, fail to perform their job duties according to standards, or conduct themselves in a manner that is detrimental to Thunder Valley Casino and its Guests.
  • Responsible for maintaining the Hazard Communication Standard for your area.
  • Be familiar with OSHA safety codes regarding chemicals.
  • Attend property provided training classes as designated by the Count Team Manager.
  • Qualifications
  • Large cash-handling experience is required, including experience working with currency counter equipment.
  • Supervisory experience is required. Count Room experience is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Basic data entry skills including 10-key by touch.
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of information.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to understand gaming regulation minimum internal control standards and requirements for drop and count.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to obtain UAIC Tribal Gaming License.

  • Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. with or without assistance.
  • Ability to stand and walk for duration of shift.
  • Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.
  • Ability to crouch, kneel, push, turn, carry, and pull.
