Role Description

The Inventory Control - Section Leader is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Lincoln, AL. This role oversees inventory control activities within a designated section, ensuring accurate stock levels, timely movement of materials, and adherence to company procedures. Day‑to‑day tasks include monitoring inventory transactions, coordinating physical inventory counts, reconciling discrepancies, and supporting shipping and receiving operations. The Section Leader will train and guide team members, maintain documentation and reports, and collaborate with other departments to optimize inventory accuracy and material flow.

This role also contributes to safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics operation.

Qualifications
  • Strong skills in Inventory Control and Inventory Management to oversee section‑level stock accuracy and processes.
  • Experience with Inventory Accuracy and Physical Inventory to conduct counts, reconcile variances, and maintain reliable records.
  • Knowledge of Shipping & Receiving operations to support efficient material flow and proper documentation.
  • Ability to lead and coordinate a team, including training, task assignment, and performance guidance.
  • Comfort with using inventory systems, spreadsheets, and basic data analysis tools.
  • Attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced, warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
  • Previous experience in logistics, warehousing, or manufacturing is preferred; leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
  • 2–4‑year degree in Operations Management, Business or related field.
  • Must be able and willing to work any shift, hours, holidays, weekends, or overtime as needed.
  • Successful completion of Microsoft Assessment Test will be required.
