Associate Pastor of Congregational Care

Lincoln Community Church is prayerfully searching for an Associate Pastor to join our collaborative leadership team. If you have a true pastor’s heart and a passion for helping people find their place in God’s family, we invite you to explore this opportunity.

Your ultimate mission is simple: give everyone, new guests and existing members a feeling of being supported and having a genuine sense of belonging.

This full-time position balances a specialized focus on congregational care and community connection with general pastoral leadership.

70% Focus:
Congregational Care & Assimilation

• Oversee the entire guest experience from first-time arrivals to a planned follow-up, that ensures a warm and inviting environment.
• Build and manage systems to engage guests, including welcome communications and personal outreach.
• Help attendees become active members by connecting newcomers to small groups and fellowship circles.
• Provide a comforting, available pastoral presence during personal or community crises.
• Offer personal counseling, hospital visits, and support for families through major life transitions, including marriages, illness, and passings.
• Recruit, train, and equip volunteer teams to expand visitation, care, and guest services.

30% Focus:
Teaching & Team Collaboration

• Assist with preaching, teaching, worship planning, outreach, and church ordinances.
• Participate in general ministry coordination, staff collaboration, and administrative duties.

Education: A master’s degree in theology is strongly preferred. Equivalent pastoral experience will be highly valued and considered.

Leadership: A gifted leader who loves Jesus, treasures God’s Word, and naturally inspires others through their Christian lifestyle.
