PAY: $15.00 per hour
HOURS: 4:00PM-8:00PM, and every other weekend
What We Are Looking For :The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for residents, families, visitors, and vendors, ensuring a warm and professional welcome. This role is responsible for managing incoming calls, directing inquiries, performing clerical duties, and supporting the daily operations of the senior living facility in accordance with facility policies, state and federal regulations, and the mission of the organization.
What You Will Do:Front Desk Operations
Greet and assist residents, visitors, and vendors in a courteous and professional manner.
Answer, screen, and direct incoming telephone calls promptly and accurately.
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
Monitor visitor sign-in/sign-out procedures to ensure building security.
Administrative Support
Distribute mail and packages, if not done by day shift.
Assist with scheduling appointments and maintaining facility calendars.
Prepare and distribute correspondence, memos, and notices as requested.
Assist with data entry, filing, and recordkeeping as directed.
Maintain a record of upcoming absences for the day shift receptionist to ensure proper coverage.
Resident and Family Interaction
Provide general information about facility services and activities.
Relay messages and communications to residents and staff promptly.
Respond to resident and family concerns with empathy, ensuring follow-up by appropriate staff.
Conduct one final round in the last hour of the shift to ensure common areas are clean and that residents in those areas have been attended to.
Regulatory Compliance and Safety
Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and protect resident confidentiality.
Follow facility safety and emergency procedures, including visitor management and emergency communication protocols.
Report any unusual occurrences or safety hazards to management immediately.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Previous receptionist or administrative experience preferred, especially in a healthcare, senior living, or customer service setting.
Ability to follow written instructions.
Compassion and respect for elderly and disabled individuals.
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally.
Ability to handle frequent interruptions and maintain focus.
