Pay range is $25.403 - $37.448 per hour. The pay rate may be commensurate with education and/or experience within fiscal constraints if approved.
JOB DUTIES Perform Accounts Payable functions including:
Enter payments in the NDOT Accounts Payable System (RPS).Pre-Audit Employee Expense Reimbursements and other Division and District payments in the NDOT Accounts Payable System (RPS).Create 3-way match payment in the State Accounting System (E1).Process Roads Project Contractor payments utilizing AASHTOWare, NDOT Agreement Contract Tracking System (ACT), and NDOT Accounts Payable System (RPS).Process Journal Vouchers utilizing GAAP knowledge to make corrections.
Assist with Accounts Receivable processes as needed.
Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Requirements/Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, statistics, or related field and experience with accounting/financial management systems OR 2 years’ experience with professional accounting procedures including developing and modifying accounting/financial management systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
Pre-Audit Certified.
Experience reviewing expense reimbursements to check that all policies, procedures, rules, and regulations are being followed.
Knowledge
Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of professional accounting principles, theories, and practices.
Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
Strong Microsoft Office skills
Ability to interpret State Statutes; state and agency policies and procedures; rules and regulations.
Ability to organize and present facts and opinions.
Ability to research and analyze data.
