Project Accountant

IES Commercial, Inc. – dba IES Electrical – is looking for a full‑time Project Accountant to work in one of our Nebraska offices:
Lincoln, Norfolk, Kearney, Grand Island, or Holdrege.

• Prepare and support GMP/NTE billing Accounts Receivable submissions, ensuring all required cost backup, subcontractor/vendor invoices, labor detail, material documentation, and expense support are complete, accurate, and organized for owner review.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, monitoring project costs, tracking expenses, and provide financial support for ongoing electrical construction projects.
• Assist with day‑to‑day project accounting operations.
• Collaborate with project managers for project coordination.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• Understanding of project accounting and cost tracking.
• 1 to 2 years’ accounting experience; project accounting preferred.
• Proficient in MS Excel.
• Strong organizational, attention‑to‑detail, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced work environment.
• Experience in construction or electrical industries a plus.
• Successfully pass pre‑employment (post‑offer) background check, drug test and MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles.
