The Accounting Specialist role focuses on billing, Accounts Receivable management, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting reports.
Progress billing:
Prepare, review, and submit accurate customer invoices tied directly to project agreements
Cross-team collaboration:
Partner closely with Project Managers and clients to manage billings and resolve any discrepancies
AR ownership:
Drive accounts receivable performance by managing daily deposits and aging backlogs
Expense allocation:
Assist with coding and allocating monthly operational expenses
Financial forecasting:
Assist with preparation of monthly budget and forward-looking reports
Work independently:
Own your daily workflow to meet monthly close deadlines with minimal oversight
2 years + recent related experience OR degree in Business/Accounting
An analytical mind that catches errors before they impact the bottom line
Commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality as needed
Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables) and exposure to construction a plus
Ability to successfully pass a standard pre-employment (post offer) background check
