Senior Student Accounts Specialist (Open to University Staff Only)
The Senior Student Accounts Specialist partners with Student Accounts colleagues and campus stakeholders to manage and enhance sponsor billing operations. This position will manage military education funding programs, and support corporate, international and campus sponsor processing. This role serves students and their designated payees by providing clear financial guidance, securing authorizations, applying credits, and ensuring accurate billing and collection from sponsors.
The successful candidate brings an innovative mindset and a keen eye for process improvement, leveraging technology and automation to streamline workflows, improve data accuracy, and elevate service delivery. As a key resource for the Student Accounts and the Husker Hub team, this position supports complex billing inquiries, assists with sponsor account reconciliation, and contributes to continuous improvement efforts that strengthen operational efficiency and the student experience.

Minimum
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or equivalent education/experience in Accounting, Finance or Business related field. Two years proficiency with Microsoft Office products. Experience working with finance/accounting or billing/invoicing. Supervisory experience in a professional office setting. Delivering customer service for escalated cases or complex issues. Strong math skills demonstrated in student finance or general accounting experience, Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills. Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing college or university student finances. Experience with military education benefits. Experience managing accounts and report writing are desirable. Experience using People Soft or other student management software. Data management or report writing. Experience with military funding and/or portals. Ability to interpret financial guarantees and contracts preferred.

Posted Salary - $24.60/hr. minimum
