Job Duties

Conduct on-site and/or in-office reviews to ensure compliance.

Prepare work papers or spreadsheets to document work.

Contact taxpayers to request records of information or to explain processes and requirements.

Respond to taxpayer requests for information and explanations.

Document relevant facts, information, results, and recommendations through reports and databases.

Discuss findings with Revenue professionals to resolve issues or make recommendations.

Requirements/Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Post‑high‑school education or training in bookkeeping, accounting, or mathematics and at least two years of related experience; or an associate’s degree in accounting.

Preferred Qualifications:

At least six hours of accounting experience; work experience in federal or state taxation.

Other

Qualifications:

Valid driver’s license or ability to provide independent authorized transportation; ability to perform limited travel, including extended hours.

The successful candidate will have:
Knowledge of financial and accounting records and principles; intermediate working knowledge of Word and Excel; strong math skills; effective communication skills; analytical abilities; research abilities.
