Library Aide - Eiseley Branch

Overview

This position will be working at the Eiseley Branch Library (1530 Superior Street, 68521).

Part-time, Monday - Friday Hours
: 10-29 hours/week as assigned including but not limited to some evening and weekend hours.

Monday-Thursday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Friday 9 a.m.

-6 p.m.
Saturday 9:35 a.m.

-6 p.m.
Sunday 11:35 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Additional hours may occasionally be available, and schedule adjustments may be necessary around holidays and other closures. This position is not eligible for Holiday Pay or other benefits.

• Library Aides provide excellent service to our customers behind the scenes by ensuring returned materials are checked in correctly and distributed to their next destination. They are also visible in our libraries as they accurately shelve materials to be readily accessible by staff and customers, pull items to fill customer hold requests, and perform various collection maintenance tasks such as inventory, accurate relocation of mis-shelved items, organizing materials, and pulling assigned materials for removal from the collection.
  
  Aides may assist with programs.
• Examples of work performed:
  Shelves materials efficiently; performs shelf reading; checks in materials; empties book drops and sorts returned items; and assists with collection maintenance tasks such as shifting, running search lists, conducting inventories, and weeding.
