Position Information
Position Type: District and School Support Positions - Non-Cert/ Clerk - 210 Day
Reports To: Building Principal
Salary: 1220 Union Schedule
Job SummaryUnder the general direction of the Departmental Manager/Building Principal, the Clerk will perform clerical duties relevant to district operations.
Regular Duties- Regular daily attendance to perform assigned duties.
- Conduct research.
- Create presentations.
- Prepare written/digital statistical reports, studies and analysis.
- Manage projects.
- Maintain student attendance records (school clerk).
- Check, verify and maintain health records (school clerk).
- Plan and schedule meetings and appointments.
- Maintain confidential documents.
- Answer telephone.
- Arrange conference calls.
- File, scan, and copy documents.
- Prepare routine correspondence for administrative superior.
- Research confidential information.
- Attend workshops, conferences, and departmental meetings.
- Make necessary contacts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge of:
- District policies and procedures.
- Statistical data collection.
- Modern office equipment, troubleshooting, practices and procedures.
Ability to:
- Communicate clearly and effectively.
- Maintain confidentiality as appropriate.
- Analyze situations accurately, and adopt an effective course of action.
- Meet district standards of professional conduct as outlined in Board Policy.
- Work under pressure.
- Operate a computer, enter data, maintain records and generate reports.

Working ConditionsOffice environment; walking, standing, squatting, hearing and speaking to exchange information and make presentations; seeing to monitor various activities; read documents, view computer monitor, kneeling, bending at the waist, sitting for extended periods of time; reaching overhead, above shoulders, and horizontally, or bending at the waist to retrieve and store files; lifting semi heavy objects.
Training,Education and Experience
Any combination equivalent to: a high school diploma, an associate's degree preferred, two years of clerical experience in increasingly responsible office environment.
