ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 55% Processes new agent contracts and appointments

  • reviewing contracting and appointment paperwork for completeness;
  • notifying agents and/or recruiters of missing paperwork;
  • ordering and reviewing background reports;
  • verifying compliance with federal and state regulations and company guidelines;
  • building and maintaining records and contracts;
  • reviewing hierarchy to ensure it is set up correctly in order to pay commissions correctly;
  • processing appointments according to procedures of 50 jurisdictions;
  • working with other departments on correct coding to policy applications.
40% Provides customer service internally and externally regarding appointments and contracting
  • notifying agents and/or recruiters of pending requirements;
  • communicating with producers to obtain additional information of a sensitive nature (bankruptcy documents, criminal information, etc.);
  • completing and mailing contracts;
  • responding to inquiries and requests on status and contracting procedures and guidelines;
  • explaining regulatory changes to producers and internal customers;
  • researching and resolving problems.
5% Performs other functions
  • assisting with and participating in team functions and events for the agent and new business administration department;
  • assisting in special projects and other related duties as requested;
  • serving as a member of various committees and implementation teams.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
  • Three to five years of office experience.
  • Ability to type 40 words per minute.
  • Professional oral and written communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and decision-making ability.
  • Execute tasks with detail and accuracy.
  • Work independently with a minimum amount of supervision.
  • Possess conflict management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Talents in values, work intensity, achiever, positivity, relationship, resourcefulness, persuasion, command, relationship-extension, and exactness.
PHYSICAL AND WORK SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to work 40 hours within flex-time guidelines required.
  • Some overtime may be required to complete job functions.
