Mandatory Salary: $20.388
Hours:
Monday‑Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Plan, organize, and implement work assignments in administrative service areas (accounting, budgeting, grants, contracts, personnel, legislation, public relations, program operations, and interagency liaison).
- Develop and implement monitoring/evaluation procedures to oversee effectiveness of program administrative processes and identify associated problems.
- Advises office staff on administrative functions and processes to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Manage resources (equipment, supplies, space, communication) for program activities within the four priority areas: funding, training, technical assistance, and network & advocacy. Includes preparation and review of payment documentation, monitoring grant activity for fiscal and objective compliance, creating contract amendments, website management, and evaluating reports.
- Oversee and manage external event planning, including consultation sessions, LHD/CBO visits, conferences, and workshop/training sessions.
Minimum Qualifications: At least one year of post‑high‑school coursework or experience in administration, office management, accounting, finance, planning, policy analysis and implementation, administrative/management analysis, operations research, program evaluation, research, or a field related to the programs or functions of the employing agency.
Preferred Qualifications:
- College degree or equivalent work experience in similar roles.
- Previous success in office management.
- Experience managing budgets and expenses.
- Experience developing internal processes and filing systems.
Other Requirements: Some positions may require mandatory training or qualifications; must possess a valid driver’s license or the ability to provide independent authorized transportation. Mandatory criminal history background checks and other agency protocols may apply.
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of: office management and record keeping methods, administrative report preparation practices, research and administrative survey techniques, work planning and organizing, mandatory business computer and communication systems.
Abilities: interact with office staff and senior managers, employees, and the public to gain cooperation and establish work relationships; formulate and recommend modifications to operational directives to attain office and division goals; apply management practices, techniques, and methodologies to assigned activities; collect, assemble, and analyze data to recommend solutions to problems; identify mandatory mandates, policies, and regulations to provide guidance; organize and present facts and opinions to the office team;
