Description Of WorkThe Executive Assistant to the Chancellor serves as the first point of contact for office guests and is responsible for ensuring a professional and welcoming environment. This is a highly visible position whose interactions with the public often provide an important first impression of the University through screening calls and greeting office visitors, all while being cognizant of administrator schedules. The Executive Assistant to the Chancellor will work independently as well as on a team in a professional executive setting within the Office of the Chancellor.
This position manages an array of general office functions, including managing and coordinating calendars, and providing back‑up support as needed for the Executive Administrator to the Chancellor and the Chief of Staff to the Chancellor. The Executive Assistant to the Chancellor provides impeccable client service to a wide range of constituents and guests, including administrators, faculty, staff, students, alumni, and donors.
The Executive Assistant to the Chancellor exercises a high degree of discretion and judgment within the scope of assigned work.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree plus five years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a university setting;
Additional years of relevant experience or completed relevant education may substitute for required education/experience on a year-for-year basis. - Demonstrated experience working with high-level administrators and constituent groups
- Proficient in relevant software programs, including Word, Excel, Adobe, and Outlook
- Evidence of excellent communication and organizational skills
- Sound judgment and discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential matters
- Possess a strong service-centered philosophy and ability to work independently and effectively as a team member.
- Three years of progressively responsible administrative experience at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln;
- Familiarity with UNL administrative structure and software programs.
Posted Salary $70,000/year minimum
