• Perform a variety of procurement functions to obtain the highest quality goods and services, including machinery, equipment, tooling, repairs and parts, in order to achieve the optimum value for the organization
• Evaluate, coordinate and monitor shipments to ensure efficient operation while maintaining quality and cost
• Manage the acquisition of assigned commodities from concept to completion and manage supplier performance as it relates to quality, delivery, cost and service
• Correspond with internal customers and outside suppliers to ensure procurement related requirements are met
• Purchasing functions such as quoting, negotiating, placing orders, handling quality issues, follow up for on time delivery, expediting, maintaining purchasing budget
• Research and identify specialized resources inside or outside of the organization that will effectively meet the needs of the situation

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or related field preferred OR Equivalent combination of education and 2-3 years related experience
• Must be able to display appropriate proficiency with computers and computer applications, such as Excel and Lotus Notes
• Experience with reading and comprehending blueprints and handling negotiations is preferred
