• Assists in the development of policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control.
• Collaborates with other teams to improve efficiency, productivity and processes.
• Conducts distribution and network studies, monitors inventory and analyzes requirements to develop strategies to achieve desired delivery times and order fill rates.
• Maintains appropriate records and prepares reports.
• Coordinates logistics activities with internal/external customers.
• May also include responsibilities for Inventory Control:
  • Ensuring that inventories are secure, properly identified and readily accessible to authorized personnel.
  • Maintains controls over various types of inventories (e.g., raw materials, subassemblies, finished goods).
  • Conducts physical inventory counts and reconciles results with inventory records.
  • Ensures that quantities of incoming and outgoing shipments are correct.
  • Conducts analyses of inventory levels and coordinates with production and sales requirements.

• Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 0-3 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education & Experience.
• Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree.
• Discipline/Major: Business or Supply Chain Management preferred.
• Knowledge, skills & abilities: Oral and written communication skills, computer skills, mathematical skills, analytical thinking skills, statistical knowledge, problem‑solving skills.

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
• Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
• May need to stand for long periods of time.
• Work primarily in a climate‑controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
• Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
• This position is Safety‑Sensitive.

• Travel may be required as needed for job duties.
