About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Construction Lead to join our rail infrastructure team in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing complex rail construction projects, ensuring their timely and efficient completion while adhering to the highest quality and safety standards.

  • Lead and manage all aspects of rail construction projects from inception to completion
    • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring optimal resource allocation
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
    • Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to maintain construction standards
    • Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that may impact project delivery
  • Ensure compliance with local and international rail construction regulations and safety standards
    • Prepare and present progress reports to senior management and clients
    • Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
    • Collaborate with the design team to review and optimise construction methodologies
    • Manage contract administration and change orders as required
What do we need from you
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in rail construction projects, with a proven track record of successful project delivery
  • In-depth knowledge of rail infrastructure and construction methodologies
    • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide diverse teams
    • Excellent project management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
    • Proficiency in construction management software and tools
    • Demonstrated ability to assess and mitigate risks in complex construction environments
    • Thorough understanding of local and international rail construction regulations and standards
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels
    • Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent are highly desirable
    • Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of Arabic would be advantageous
    • Willingness to work in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, and travel to project sites as required
