Construction Traveling Superintendent

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and self‑directed Traveling Construction Superintendent to oversee day‑to‑day operations on our active project sites. From groundbreaking to closeout, you will be the on‑site leader responsible for maintaining project schedules, enforcing safety protocols, and ensuring the highest quality of workmanship.

• Site Management: Direct daily on‑site supervision of subcontractors, vendors, and laborers to ensure strict adherence to plans, specifications, and building codes.
• Schedule & Budget: Develop, update, and manage the critical path construction schedule, including generating 3‑week look‑ahead schedules.
• Quality & Safety: Enforce OSHA compliance and company safety standards. Conduct regular quality control inspections and safety toolbox meetings.
• Documentation: Process RFIs, manage submittals, and complete detailed daily reports using construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam).
• Stakeholder Communication: Lead weekly OAC (Owner, Architect, Contractor) meetings and build lasting, positive relationships with clients and local municipal authorities.

• Experience: 8+ years of progressive field supervision experience as a Lead Superintendent with a General Contractor.
• Project Expertise: Proven track record with ground‑up commercial construction.
• Tech Savvy: Proficiency in construction management software such as Procore, Microsoft Project, and Bluebeam Revu.
• Certifications: OSHA 30‑Hour certification strongly preferred.
• Travel: Ability to travel and temporarily relocate to project sites nationwide with valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
