Project Manager – Civil & Electrical Construction
Salary:
Up to $160,000, Depending on Experience
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join a well-established power and infrastructure contractor in the Lincoln, Nebraska area.
This is a high-level project management opportunity for someone who understands construction from the field up and knows how to take ownership of a project from startup through completion.
The ideal candidate will come from civil, utility, electrical, powerline, underground utility, telecom/fiber, or heavy infrastructure construction
. We are especially interested in someone who understands how the work actually gets done in the field — crews, equipment, materials, schedules, job costs and the unexpected problems that come with construction.
- Manage construction projects from startup through completion
- Coordinate crews, subcontractors, equipment, materials and project schedules
- Work closely with Superintendents, Foremen, Estimators and Operations
- Monitor project budgets, job costs, production and overall financial performance
- Manage change orders, documentation, billing information and project closeout
- Review plans, specifications, contracts and project requirements
- Coordinate with customers, engineers, municipalities and other project stakeholders
- Identify potential issues early and develop solutions to keep projects moving
- Make sure field teams have the equipment, materials and information they need
- Maintain strong communication between field operations, customers and leadership
- Take ownership of project schedules, quality, safety and overall execution
- Previous Project Management experience in construction
- Background in one or more of the following is highly preferred:
- Utility construction
- Electrical construction
- Transmission or distribution
- Substations
- Telecom or fiber infrastructure
- Directional boring/HDD
- Strong understanding of field construction operations
- Experience managing project schedules, costs, budgets and resources
- Ability to work effectively with field crews and leadership
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Someone who takes ownership, follows through and knows how to get a project across the finish line
Up to $160,000 annually
, depending on experience.
