Our Performing Arts Section delivers UAL courses in Drama, Dance and Music across levels 1, 2, 3 and 4. The department has a professional standard studio theatre equipped with theatre lighting and sound equipment, two purpose built dance studios and a music department with state of the art recording studios and two Mac Labs.
We are seeking to appoint a Technician on a full time, term time only basis, with experience in overseeing both Theatre and Music to join our vibrant performing arts department. Working alongside students, the role will involve rigging and operating lighting and sound for music, acting and dance performances, using an Allen and Heath QU-24 sound mixer and an FLX S48 lighting controller.
Throughout the year, you will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all music equipment and facilities, adhering to Health and Safety regulations and best practice. You would also guide students in the use of technology and support our broad performance programme, supporting in-class activities on a daily basis, which would involve coordinating the allocation and return of musical instruments and equipment, and ensuring resources are available, secure and ready to use.
Please note, we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role.
We anticipate that interviews will take place on Friday 27th August, however please note this date may be subject to change.
