Customer Service Representative – Job Description

The Customer Service Representative serves as the main point of on‑site contact for KENL INN customers. Work includes coordinating front office activities, answering the phone, taking reservations for KENL INN services, assisting customers, and documenting requests and information into the computer system. The Customer Service Representative will resolve complaints and issues as needed, with management assistance. This work requires a friendly demeanor, positive attitude, and ability to work with the public consistently.

The Customer Service Representative will occasionally assist in supervising the overall responsibilities of the Customer Service Division.

Shift

Closing Shift – Part Time or Full Time Positions:
Mid‑afternoon to early evening with shift ending around 7:30 PM. 20–30 hours/week, depending on business demands—4‑day week—overtime may be required during peak seasons.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduation from a senior high school or equivalent
  • Must be 19 years of age
Desired Training and Experience
  • Knowledge of computer database software applications
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to effectively perform general office management responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of basic mathematical concepts, and ability to read charts, graphs, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, point of sale experience, retail experience a plus, outstanding customer service skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write business notes and understand customer needs.
  • Knowledge of computer database software applications.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage workload.
  • Ability to work well under time constraints.
  • Operate equipment properly and within guidelines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of customer and company information.
  • Knowledge of KENL INN Code of Ethics, Pet Care Code of Ethics, KENL INN policy, law, and ability to implement principles and regulations within job duties and interactions.
  • Ensure laws and KENL INN policies and principles are followed.
