Southwest Airlines welcomes you to a customer‑focused career supporting passengers at ticket counters, baggage facilities, and boarding gates. As a Customer Service Agent you will provide courteous service, resolve issues, and ensure smooth operations in a dynamic travel environment.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain friendly relations with internal and external clients.
  • Work cooperatively to achieve organizational goals.
  • Provide excellent customer service to travelers, including baggage and ticketing assistance.
  • Operate point‑of‑sale systems for ticket sales, check‑ins, and payments.
  • Greet and assist guests in a courteous manner.
  • Handle cash, tests, credit cards, vouchers, and coupons; reconcile daily transactions.
  • Assess luggage and coordinate load operations.
  • Answer inquiries via phone, web, and face‑to‑face; resolve complaints and issues.
  • Address mishandled situations such as oversales, cancellations, or lost luggage.
  • Provide accurate flight information and respond to visitors’ questions.
  • Complete required forms and paperwork.
  • Document irregularities and produce required reports.
  • Perform additional duties as directed by supervisors.
Qualifications
  • U.S. citizenship or authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship).
  • Minimum high‑school diploma; no additional education required.
  • Strong typing skills and proficiency with computers.
  • Ability to follow written instructions, policies, and ticketing procedures.
  • Excellent verbal communication and customer‑service skills.
  • Proficiency with radio and other communication systems.
  • Proper grooming and appearance in line with company standards.
  • Capacity to carry 70lb and frequently lift 40–50lb in a confined space.
  • Capability to work shift schedules, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Experience in a fast‑paced, safety‑first environment.
  • Ability to handle emergency situations and comply with safety protocols.
Licensing & Certification
  • Ability to obtain a SIDA badge and meet local airport requirements.
  • Optional customs or seal certifications for international operations.
