Introduction to Vascular Sonography (course description below).
Course
Description:
This course offers the student the opportunity to gain introductory theoretical knowledge and skills in the area of vascular sonography. Focus will be on learning basic elements of carotid and venous scanning. Arterial assessment will be briefly addressed. This course does not meet any requirements for the Vascular Sonography Program. Course is currently scheduled to be developed in Summer 2026 and taught in the Spring of 2027.
SUMMARY
Adjunct Faculty appointments are made for specified courses and for a specified term or terms as needed. Demonstrates implementation of the mission, vision, goals and values of the College as well as the philosophy of the division in which assigned. Responsible for development, planning, implementation and evaluation of the theoretical, laboratory, and/or clinical components of assigned courses. Demonstrates the ability to teach in individual, small and large group settings and functions under the direction of the Dean of the program.
Participates in ongoing systematic evaluation activities as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCESonography (Undergraduate Level):
Master's degree with minimum of eighteen (18) graduate credits completed in area of teaching responsibility required. Doctoral degree preferred. Previous teaching experience preferred. Appropriate credentials from ARDMS required in areas of teaching responsibility required. For positions working only as a secondary instructor for courses with a full-time faculty instructor, a Bachelor's degree in Sonography is required.
