Description: Elementary classroom teachers instill a love of learning in students and teach them basic skills such as reading, writing and math. An enthusiasm for education and the ability to foster effective parental involvement are required.
Qualifications: Nebraska Department of Education Teacher Certification with Elementary Endorsement
Application Procedure: If you are currently employed as a certificated teacher (substitute teachers excluded – see below) with Papillion La Vista Community Schools, you are asked to submit an online Internal Application to indicate your interest in this specific position.
Salary: The school district pays based on a Negotiated Pay Scale determined by degree and years of experience.
Benefits: PLCS pays 100% of the healthcare premium for employee only PPO insurance plans and all high deductible plans. PLCS pays 93% of the premium for all other PPO plans. Through the Nebraska School Employees Retirement System 9.78% of the gross salary is deposited into a retirement account. The District matches the contribution at the rate of 101%.
