Transfer Recruitment Specialist
The Transfer Recruitment Specialist is a critical role focused on helping transfer students and supporters navigate the transition to UNL. They implement recruitment strategy for transfer populations, provide college counseling, present the benefits of UNL, and represent UNL at community college visits, fairs, campus events, and community engagement activities. The role involves interacting with students and families in person, by phone, email, and approved SMS.
Additional projects may involve recruitment and admissions. The specialist interprets admission, financial aid, and university policy for the public, uses data to support enrollment goals, and demonstrates inclusiveness throughout the enrollment experience. Extensive travel, nights, and weekends during peak times may be required.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills; public speaking experience; ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated inclusive thinking and ability to relate to people of all age groups, academic abilities, and cultures.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new technologies.
- Time management and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Valid driver’s license meeting University driver eligibility requirements.
- Extensive campus or community involvement.
- Experience as student recruitment ambassador or tour guide.
- Customer service experience.
- Data analysis experience to recommend future work.
- Fluent in an additional language, with preference toward Spanish.
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required. Subject to DOT approved pre‑employment & random testing for alcohol and controlled substances.
- Criminal History Background Check required.
- Pre‑Placement Driving Record Review required.
- Position is full‑time, located in Lincoln, NE.
