Compensation: $43,642 - $91,830 per year. Placement on salary schedule based on verified, comparable education and experience.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: The Teacher understands the central concepts, methods of inquiry, and structures of disciplines and creates learning experiences that make the content meaningful to all students.
Duties and Responsibilities- Ensure actions align with Board policies, mission statement, and strategic plan.
- Participate in professional growth and training opportunities.
- Perform related duties as assigned for efficient work environment.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities facilitating active learning experiences.
- Engage students in inquiry-based instruction.
- Provide a variety of learning materials and resources.
- Use a wide range of instructional strategies and technologies to meet diverse student needs.
- Consider equitable resources and practices.
- Update and maintain records accurately per law, district policies.
- Create a safe learning environment.
- Demonstrate effective behavior management techniques appropriate for all students, including those with disabilities.
- Maintain discipline per building expectations and student code of conduct.
- Communicate student progress and needs regularly to students, colleagues, and parents.
- Participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLC).
- Create formative assessments aligned to district curriculum.
- Analyze student data from formative and summative assessments to drive differentiated instruction and data-based decisions.
- Utilize current technology to enhance student learning.
Illinois Teaching License with appropriate endorsements and certifications.
