Overview
Varsity Head Swimming Coach @ LNE:
Requires Teacher and/or coach who holds a Nebraska Department of Education Teacher or Administrative Certificate or a Nebraska Department of Education Special Services Coaching Permit. The position also requires CPR Certification and three required NFHS classes (Concussion Awareness, Heat Illness, Sudden Cardiac Arrest).
Qualifications- Certified teacher and/or coach that holds a Nebraska Department of Education Teacher or Administrative Certificate or a Nebraska Department of Education Special Services Coaching Permit.
- CPR Certification.
- Three required NFHS classes:
Concussion Awareness, Heat Illness, Sudden Cardiac Arrest.
- Responsible for the instruction of swimming/diving skills and techniques, team systems and strategies.
- Provide a safe and competitive environment; develop safely planned and supervised practices and contests.
- Provide leadership for the overall program; be energetic, a good communicator and able to build relationships with student-athletes.
- Inspect and maintain inventory and equipment.
- Report contest results; know, implement, and enforce national, state, and local athletic policies.
- Evaluate assistant coaches; order equipment; organize the entire swimming/diving program.
- This position is subject to a veterans preference.
