THIS POSITION IS FOR THE SCHOOL YEAR
ANTICIPATED START DATE IS AUGUST 7, 2026 (183 DAYS CALENDAR)
This position will assist with student(s) with language acquisition needs. Assignment may include providing general support throughout the day and with instructional plans. Must be flexible, able to take initiative, able to follow directions and instructional plans, and be a team player.
Essential Functions / Skills- Regular, dependable, in person attendance is an essential function of this position.

Skills:
Knowledge of computer systems including but not limited to time and attendance system, information systems (student and/or financial as appropriate) and the policies/regulations associated with such usage. Ability to use the following programs: MS Word and Excel.
- Assist students in performing activities initiated by the teacher.
- Carry out instructional programing and activities designed by the teacher. This also includes use of tools or resources used for student’s instruction.
- Assist in educational demonstrations for the class or small groups, and instructional reinforcement.
- Assist the teacher in observing, recording, and charting data.
- Assist students in specific regular education class, providing additional support.
- Score objective tests and papers, and maintain appropriate records for the teacher.
- Perform clerical tasks, i.e., typing, duplicating.
- Assist preparation/production of instructional materials.
- Supervise students in hallways, lunchroom and playground situation.
- Assist with supervision and instruction of students during class outings.
- Ability to be reassigned to serve the needs of the students.
- Prepare and supervise students and bus loading.
- Ability to work with and meet individual needs of students as directed by teachers or other professional staff.
- Ability to work as a team member.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Appropriate communication skills.
- Maintain professional relationship with teachers and other staff.
- Model appropriate behavior of conduct using appropriate positive verbal reinforcements and directions with students.
- Attend required in-services to develop skills necessary for competent performance of their duties.
- Supervisor retains the ability to reassign on a daily basis if necessary to serve the needs of students.
- Other duties as assigned.
Salary is $19.00/hour Salary pending board approval).
This position is subject to veterans preference.
