Job Description
Position: Para, EL Intervention, 7 hrs/day, 183 days school year)
Location: Lincoln High School, Lincoln, Nebraska
Starting Date: August 7, 2026
Salary: $19.74 per hour.
Essential Functions & Skills- Regular, dependable, in‑person attendance.
- Knowledge and proper execution of district policies and procedures; knowledge of programs, departments or locations served.
- Effective communication: oral, written, listening skills; ability to read, analyze and interpret various documents.
- Reasoning skills: apply common‑sense understanding to carry out instructions, make timely decisions using input from others.
- Human relations: establish and maintain professional relationships with employees, students, community while maintaining confidentiality.
- Computer skills: knowledge of time and attendance system, student and/or financial information systems; proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
- Assist students in performing activities initiated by the teacher.
- Carry out instructional programming and activities designed by the teacher, including use of tools or resources.
- Assist in educational demonstrations for class or small groups and reinforce instruction.
- Assist the teacher in observing, recording and charting data.
- Assist students in specific regular‑education classes, providing additional support.
- Score objective tests and papers, maintain appropriate records for the teacher.
- Perform clerical tasks (typing, duplicating).
- Assist preparation/production of instructional materials.
- Supervise students in hallways, lunchroom, playground.
- Assist with supervision and instruction of students during class outings.
- Be able to be reassigned to serve student needs.
- Prepare and supervise students for bus loading.
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
