Role SummaryAssist classroom teachers in the Life Skills Program or Resource Room to support students with special needs, in both self-contained and general education classrooms. Provide physical assistance such as wheelchair maneuvering, feeding, positioning, bathroom use, diapering, and lifting. Maintain good attendance, collaborate with staff, and communicate effectively. Additional supervision duties may be assigned when needed.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with classroom teachers to assist students with academic and/or behavioral needs.
- Provide physical assistance and support for mobility, feeding, bathroom use, diapering, and lifting as required.
- Work in both self-contained and general education classrooms, promoting inclusion and flexible service delivery.
- Maintain attendance and communicate effectively with staff and students.
- Perform additional supervision duties when assigned.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
- Desire to work with students in special education and resource settings.
- Ability to provide physical assistance and support for students with special needs.
salary $20.50 per hour salary pending board approval).
Full-time position, 7 hours per day, 183 days calendar year.
