Job DescriptionSeeking qualified individuals to mentor Highly Gifted Students during the school year. Mentors will work with students in the Visual Arts (K-5) and the following K-12 academic areas:
- Math
- Science
- English
- Social Studies
- World Language
Must be able to work in person during the school day while the student is in school. No evening, weekend, or school break work.
Mentors in the academic subject areas will meet with their assigned student during the same class period each day;
Art mentors generally meet once a week.
- Junior or Senior status in college or a Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Minimum of 15 semester credit hours in one or more of the six areas listed above with a subject GPA of 3.5 or above
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
- At least three professional references, including work supervisors, professors, or practicum supervisors. Current or former co‑workers may also be included.
- Provide accurate email addresses for each reference to avoid delays.
- Upload transfere transcripts from all colleges attended; multiple page PDFs may be combined into a single document.
- Provide official transcripts from each college at the time of the interview.
- Candidates selected for interview will be contacted via email by Human Resources.
Position Type: Hourly
Salary: $22.16 per hour
This position is subject to veteran preference.
