Global Experiences Coordinator
The Global Experiences Office (formerly Education Abroad Office), a unit within Academic Affairs, is expanding its focus to include a range of global experiential learning opportunities. The Global Experiences Coordinator provides comprehensive support by helping students select and prepare for global learning experiences.
Responsibilities- Serve as a resource to students, parents, and the university community regarding programs, policies, and procedures related to global experiences.
- Promote opportunities and guide students through program and scholarship applications.
- Coordinate with partners to develop and implement programs and services.
- Act as a liaison or embedded staff member with one or more academic colleges.
- Support the team and report to the Director of Global Experiences Office.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and one year of professional work experience in international education, student affairs, multicultural affairs, academic advising, or a related field.
- Master’s degree can substitute for the one year of professional work experience.
- Effective listening and mentoring skills.
- Strong organization and planning skills.
- Experience studying, living, working, or volunteering abroad, or extensive international travel.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Master’s Degree preferred.
- Experience with Education Abroad Programs, international exchanges, and global engagement opportunities.
- Experience with marketing, event planning, and/or public speaking.
- Familiarity with Terra Dotta software or ability to learn another complex software program.
- Knowledge of Ed Abroad Programs and related services.
- Language proficiency other than English.
- Experience with data management and reporting.
- Comfort handling confidential information.
