Certified Substitute Teachers - Current, Former, or Retired LPS Teachers

Certified Substitute Teachers – Current, Former, or Retired Teachers are individuals who have been hired as certified employees (current or former) with Lincoln Public Schools.

Substitute teachers are those who hold a bachelor degree (or higher) in education. Applicants who do NOT hold a degree in education, apply for the Certified, Local Substitute Teacher,  application.

Full Day Pay Rate: $200.46

Half Day Pay Rate: $100.22

Certification Requirement:

• Requires Nebraska Teaching (Initial, Standard or Professional) or State Substitute certificate

IMPORTANT REMINDER:
Current LPS employees retiring or changing from a benefits eligible position to a Substitute Only position are subjected to PPACA or NPERS re-employment rules and will need to wait 90 or 180 days.
