This position assists teachers with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students in the Individual Success Program (ISP) at Robinson Elementary School. Students placed in the ISP may require intensive behavioral, mental health, and life skills support due to a verified disability such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, or other impairment.
Job responsibilities may include individual instruction, small group activities, room supervision, and support as assigned. Hired personnel will be trained in behavioral techniques and instructional strategies including, but not limited to, Handle with Care. All activities are performed under the direction and supervision of the classroom teacher along with building and program administrators.
Candidates should be caring, patient, enjoy working with students with behavioral and cognitive needs, and be willing to be trained in behavior techniques and instructional strategies. The role requires the ability to develop positive relationships, communicate effectively, and apply culturally proficient practices with students, staff, and families.
Salary for : $22.34 per hour
