Special Education Para III

THIS POSITION IS FOR THE  SCHOOL YEAR

This position will support students in the Independence Academy program, the LPS program for students 18-21 years old. This position will assist students with a spectrum of special needs (including behavioral). Responsibilities may include providing individual support and/or working with small groups. The ideal candidate is flexible, able to take initiative, able to follow directions and instructional plans, be a team player, and attend all required training days.

Attendance and adaptability are key strengths for this role.

This para educator will be assigned to an Independence Academy site and should have the flexibility to travel to all Independence Academy sites within the district. Independence Academy site location may change periodically based upon need.

Work schedule is 8:30 am to 2:30 pm, lunch with students.

Salary is $21.30/hour

This position is subject to veterans preference.
