Early Childhood Special Education Teacher (Pre‑K) | Lincoln, NE

  • Interview: 30-Minute Virtual Interview with District Director

  • Orientation: 1-2 Days with the District
What You'll Do
  • Provide specialized instruction and support for students with diverse learning needs.
  • Create a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with families, administrators, and educational staff.
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans.
  • Support student growth through creative, developmentally appropriate teaching strategies.
  • Maintain compliance with all special education requirements and documentation.
Qualifications
  • Valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate.
  • Must hold one of the following:
    • Early Childhood Special Education Endorsement
    • Early Childhood Inclusive Endorsement
    • Early Childhood Endorsement and K-6 Special Education Endorsement
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university preferred.
  • Previous teaching experience preferred.
  • Must meet all applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Standard Elementary, Secondary, or Special Education Teaching Certification.
  • Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) Endorsement.
  • Current CPR certification (if applicable).
  • Current health documentation and TB screening requirements (if applicable).
Compensation
  • Local Pay Rate: $42/hour
  • Consistent, full-time school-year schedule
  • Strong potential for extension into the following school year

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university preferred
  • Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations
  • Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred
  • State Teacher Certification;

  • State Teacher Certification;
    Type:
    Standard Secondary Teaching preferred
  • State Teacher Certification;
    Type:
    Standard Special Teaching preferred
  • Endorsement:
