We are looking for Youth Development Interns to work in LPS elementary and middle schools.

Limited spots available. School preference is given to early applicants

Spring 2027 Semester (LPS Schedule)


* Trainings in person and orientation required*

What we offer:
  • - A chance to gain experience with Lincoln's largest before and after-school care provider with hands-on care/teaching.
  • - Gain knowledge in curriculum, program, and child development.
  • - Develop de-escalation skills using a multi tiet system support.
  • - Monthly check-in meetings/trainings, professionnal development.
  • - Shifts:

    7-8/9am AND OR 230/315-6pm.
  • - $25 gym reimbursement
  • - Kick-off and Closing celebration to include certificate and letter of reference.
  • - Potential for continued employment and career development
What we ask:
  • - Successful program completion involves a commitment from January Orientation Date to end of the LPS semester 2027. (exceptions may be made for students residing outside of Lincoln)
  • - Availability to work 3 shifts a week minimum. (180 hours/semester) Must be available to work after school shifts. Scheduling needs may change.
  • - Attendance at monthly check-in/training sessions.
  • - Communicate positively and be respectful of fellow team members.
  • - Build and support relationships with school personnel and partners.
  • - CPR training required and will be provided if needed.
Requirements CREDENTIALS /

CERTIFICATIONS:

Basic Life Support (CPR) and Basic First Aid certifications are required at the time of employment or to be completed within 60 days of starting employment. This will be for the Spring 2027 Youth Development Internship.
